Thinking Of You Flower Card

I went to the Stamp show in Mesquite, Texas and came across a booth by Denami Designs.  I was immediately in love with her stamps.  They were so simple and small, but she had the most amazing ideas you could do with them.  This one I fell in love with.  This is called Rosevine Flower Stamp Set. I took a picture of her card so I could mimic it, but when I went to her site, there it was again.
This turned out better than I could ever hope for.  I was so pleased and happy, I made a few and gave them to my mother to give away :)
I used Black Memento Ink for the Rose and  Sentiment.  The green leaves are chalk that I picked up at the bargain bin at Joann's for $1.
Copics used:
Roses - R00, R32
Leaves - Y00, G14
I used 'Crystal' Stickles instead of glitter (glitter is too messy for me).

'Hey Girl' Card

Here is another absolutely adorable Freebie Friday digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.  I am sure I can come up with a better sentiment, but what suited me at the moment of making this was "Hey Girl!".  The glitter paper I bought at the Target $ Spot and embossed the green with Cuttlebug.  I inked all the edges with purple that I found in the bargain bins at Joann's for $1.

I had so much fun coloring her in with my Copics.  I want to change the color scheme up a bit, but I love the way her hair turned out.
Copics used:
Hair - E33, E35, Blender
Skin - E00, E02
Eyelids - V01, V04
Eyes - B02, B32
Lips - R35, R37
Shirt, Bow - G21, Blender
Belt Buckle, Bracelt, Earrings, Bow - C3, Spica, Glossy Accents
Jeans- B45, B39
Shoes, Belt - E37, E29, Blender
Outline - C1

Holy Cow Belated Birthday Card

I missed my SIL birthday again...Dave comes from a family with 6 siblings, I have 3 so we have a lot of in-laws.  I received this digi stamp from a Friday Freebie from Bugaboo Stamps.  Love it.  I know my camera is taking really blurry pictures...it is not the user, it is the camera!  I used my Copics to color and I did Spica the halo.  I used my Nestabilities Label Two for the cut.  I purchased those just recently in the Clearance section at Hobby Lobby for $4.31.  I thought it was an error.  I bought 2 others :)  Inside the sentiment is computer generated and it said, "I missed your birthday!"

A little tip.  If you sign up to receive Bugaboo Stamps newsletter, she sends you a freebie every Friday.  They are not cheesy freebies, they are awesome.  Just look how cute this one was.

Happy Birthday Dad Easel Card

My father celebrated his...25th birthday...again!  Don't worry Dad, I won't give out your real age :)  When my Dad received this card, he asked me, "When did you take this picture of me, I don't remember it?"  I love you Dad! :)
I love this image.  This is Gus from Bugaboo Stamps.  When I saw him, I knew I was going to do this for my Dad.
The punch I used to hold up the easel card is Beach Edger Punch from EK Tools.  The sentiment inside is computer generated and says, "Birthdays celebrate the gift of time.  We celebrate the gift of you."
I colored dear old Gus in with Copics and used Glossy Accents for the glasses.
The sentiment comes with the Gus digi image, it says, "At my age I can wear whatever I want!"

CHEERS! Birthday Easel Card

Since my Wonderful Hubby bought me my very own laptop, I am on a roll with posting :)

My wonderful SIL, Beth had a birthday.  She is such a sweet gal.  I wanted her to be the first to receive this card that was so fun to make.

This beautiful lady is Dottie from Bugaboo Stamps.  I used Copics to color her in and I used Glossy Accents for her bracelet, earrings and martini.  Her ring is Stickled...but the next one I do will be glossy accented.

I learned this new (favorite) technique for me...an easel card.  I searched YouTube for instructions.  I popped up the purple shadow and Dottie image.  The inside sentiment says, "Birthdays celebrate the gift of time.  We celebrate the gift of you!"  I just love that saying.

Magic Show Birthday Invitations

I was so excited when Bradley decided he wanted a Magic Show Birthday party.  I was getting a little tired of the Lego parties.  I had so much fun with this one.

I used Create A Critter for the hat.  I used Design Studio to cut a lot.  The rabbit is also Create A Critter.  I attached 2 hats together, that way the rabbit could be pulled out of the hat.  "The Rabbit is out of the hat..." is computer generated.

Rabbit coming out of the hat!
I had a hard time thinking of wording because the rabbit had such an odd shape.  I used Peachy Keen, Everyday Character Faces Stamps. Got Scrap's? has an amazing 'how to' video on Masking.  That is how I was able to do the pink nose.  I used Copic R20 for the pink nose and ears.  I came up with the rabbit holding a sign so they would know how old Bradley would be.
Looking at the pictures, I now wish I would have cut out another rabbit to attach to the back so you wouldn't be able to see the pink.  I computer generated the information for the party.  I said things like, "Bradley's House of Magic" with our address.  And "RSVP to Bradley's Assistant, Blaire" with my phone number and email address.  I was really pleased how cute these turned out.

Magic Show Balloon Bouquet Vase

I love, love, love Balloon Bouquets.
For this one, I cut the rabbit from Create A Critter at 11 1/2".  The hat is also CAC cut at 22" (even though your Cricut mat is only 12 x 12, you can cut larger).  The wand is free hand, pink on the rabbit is Copic Markers R20.  I used actual playing cards for decorations.  Got them at the $ store for 2 packs for $1.  I did free draw the face because I do not have stamps large enough.
I glue dotted a clothespin to back of the rabbit, then attached to the vase.
This isn't the best picture of the Balloon Vase.  I forgot to take a closer picture.  I made 2 of these and had the other one setting in the room where the magician performed.

Valentine's

This year, Riley came up with this Valentine. I took my Copics class not too long ago and I purchased the Edward stamp from The Greeting Farm for my upcoming Twilight Cricut Swarm. Riley saw the stamp and said, "Hey that looks like me!" He wanted to use my Copics to color it and I crushed that idea quickly. He colored the boy and girl with Crayola markers and I colored the skin with the Copics, Edward was done in E50 and Ebony was done in R00. Ebony is a digi stamp from The Greeting Farm. Riley chose the colors and he colored 10 of each. I am very impressed how these came out. All the sentiments are computer generated. On the backside of the card he attached a Blow Pop with tape. I am very proud of him...and they are done!!!!!
I am still working on the teacher's valentines. I will not post those until after Valentines!

Copic Markers Carrier

I have an issue, I am addicted to Crystal Light. Not all Crystal Light...just the Strawberry, Orange, Banana flavor. I have now gone to 4 different grocery store chains and they are no longer carrying my flavor. I am very disappointed. Anywho, I was originally going to keep the containers to make luminaries with the battery operated candles and mod podge and Cricut cuts. But I came up with this instead.
I needed something to carry my pens to the Copic Class I was attending and they worked great. In the pictures, I have the containers for each class. But now, at home, I have them arranged by color group: E, R and RV, Y and YG and YR...etc. I love that they lay on the side, even though you do not have to keep Copics on their side. I am going to Vinyl the color codes on the lid, but I have not had a chance yet...only have white vinyl and want to do it in black.

Copic Class

A couple of weekends ago, I was able to take a Copic Markers Basics class and a Skin and Hair class. It was so amazing. I had the most amazing instructor, Frank V. He was amazing. Have I said amazing enough? Anywho, these are the 4 cards I made in the class. These 2 are from The Greeting Farm. I even colored the Pima Flowers with Copics.

These 2, I believe are My Favorite Things Stamps. I learned so much. I have been having so much fun coloring now. It is very therapeutic. Especially after 4 snow days here in North Texas.
I also found a really great site that you can get the Copic Ciaos for a great price. http://www.merriartist.com/ They are very fast at shipping.

I now have a new obsession. One of these days, I will get back to scrapbooking...I hope :)
