Thinking Of You Flower Card

I went to the Stamp show in Mesquite, Texas and came across a booth by Denami Designs.  I was immediately in love with her stamps.  They were so simple and small, but she had the most amazing ideas you could do with them.  This one I fell in love with.  This is called Rosevine Flower Stamp Set. I took a picture of her card so I could mimic it, but when I went to her site, there it was again.
This turned out better than I could ever hope for.  I was so pleased and happy, I made a few and gave them to my mother to give away :)
I used Black Memento Ink for the Rose and  Sentiment.  The green leaves are chalk that I picked up at the bargain bin at Joann's for $1.
Copics used:
Roses - R00, R32
Leaves - Y00, G14
I used 'Crystal' Stickles instead of glitter (glitter is too messy for me).

Dump Truck Birthday Card

Last weekend, Wesley was invited to a "Trash" Birthday Party.  This is one that we have never been too. The invitation had wording like: "Let's Talk Trash" and "Come to our dump (with the address)".  I would never have thought of doing a party like this, but all our little boys are obsessed with seeing the Trash Trucks.  The Recycle Truck came to the party and all the kids were able to get in the driver seat and pull the horn...it was better than a fire truck for these kids :)
In honor of the Birthday Boys Trash Party, I made him this card.  I used Boys Will Be Boys Cricut cart and cut the dump truck out at 3 1/2".  The # 4's were also on BWBB and they were cut out at various sizes ranging from 1 1/2" to 1".  The Happy Birthday on the truck is from Life's A Beach.  It had a flamingo attached, but I just hacked that off.
Inside the card, I made a GC holder that matched the card.  I also pop dotted the truck for depth and wrote the little boys name under the window on the truck.  I loved how this turned out.

'Hey Girl' Card

Here is another absolutely adorable Freebie Friday digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.  I am sure I can come up with a better sentiment, but what suited me at the moment of making this was "Hey Girl!".  The glitter paper I bought at the Target $ Spot and embossed the green with Cuttlebug.  I inked all the edges with purple that I found in the bargain bins at Joann's for $1.

I had so much fun coloring her in with my Copics.  I want to change the color scheme up a bit, but I love the way her hair turned out.
Copics used:
Hair - E33, E35, Blender
Skin - E00, E02
Eyelids - V01, V04
Eyes - B02, B32
Lips - R35, R37
Shirt, Bow - G21, Blender
Belt Buckle, Bracelt, Earrings, Bow - C3, Spica, Glossy Accents
Jeans- B45, B39
Shoes, Belt - E37, E29, Blender
Outline - C1

Skateboard Money Jar

Riley is trying to earn money to buy new wheels for his skateboard.  Now being 11 and trying to earn $50 is a long, tough job.  I made this jar for him to make it a little more fun.  The jar is an pickle jar (I am a HOARDER of jars for this reason, "What if I need it?"...Dave can't stand my craft hoarding addiction.  I really need to go on that show).  I cut SKATE from Boys Will Be Boys Cricut cart at 3 1/2".  I Mod Podged it to the jar and I like when I did the whole jar it gave it almost a foggy etched look.  This took me less than 10 minutes to make  :)

Baseball Birthday Card Book

I volunteered to be Room Mom for Ri's class this year because it is his last year before Middle School...sniff, sniff.  Anywho, Riley has a male teacher this year that is just amazing.  Every single kid wanted him this year...Riley got lucky and got him.  But, what do you give a guy for his birthday right after the holidays?  If you have ever been a Room Parent, you know how hard it is to get money out of people :)  So RILEY, came up with this idea...that's my boy!

It is a Baseball Birthday Card Book from the students, that's a mouthful.  This came out so much cuter than I could have ever imagined.

I cut the glove from Sports Mania at 8 1/2" in brown, I cut a blackout in brown and a blackout in ivory.  I took my brown ink pad and marked up the ivory to make it look like it was dirty.  The chipboard...it is actually a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal box that I also cut in multi cut blackout :)  I made the back cover the same way, with chipboard.

The baseball is cut from Sports Mania at 4 1/2" in white and then a blackout in red.
This is what I sent to all the students and asked them to write Mr. T a birthday message on one side only.

The W was cut from Plantin Schoolbook.  I do not have Varsity Letters from Walmart...but I really need it.  The Wolverine was hand cut.  I did it the same way I cut out the Patriots Logo for my Super Bowl banner.

I did not take pictures of each page, but there was one ball per side so it looked like the mitt was holding the ball.  This was the last 2 pages.  The pocket on the left was for any extra baseballs that did not get returned to me on time.  The pocket on the right, I put a gift card in for his favorite restaurant.

I think he loved it, he was very surprised when we gave it to him with cupcakes for his whole class!

Lollipop Holder Place Settings

In our house, Valentine's has become a family event...how does that work?  No, I love it.  It makes my boys feel special too...and I get more cards...te he!

I made these Lollipop Holder Place Settings for the boys.  I punched out a 2" CM heart, used my PK faces and that was it.

I made my holder by scoring lines...that's it.  I also used a  hole punch for the ribbon.  No fancy dies for this project!
The boys loved them...because they had lollipops, but also because it was a surprise when they got home from school.

Hubby Valentine's Card

This is the card I made for my wonderful husband.  I saw this idea over at The Spotted Chick.  When I saw her card I said, "Hey, I have those stamps!"  I colored mine a little different except I did love her idea about drawing hearts and using Stickles.  I tried to make the shoes look like "Chuck Taylor's".  Am I dating myself?  We have been talking about them a lot lately because my oldest just got his first pair...love it!

Kid's Valentines

I Dig You!

I have seen this cute little Valentine all over the web and had to make it.  I bought the shovels on Ebay through Jean's Plastics.  They were very reasonably priced and I needed a lot because I had to make 40 of them this year...Brad's class and Wes' preschool.  I love the way they came out.

 IPod Valentine

A couple of years ago, Riley received a Valentine similar to this and I kept it, knowing someday he would want to do this.  I searched the web for song ideas and came across Family Fun's site that has the instructions and printable.  Too easy!  A 2" hole punch cuts out the circles perfectly.  I know a lot of kids have peanut allergies, but I am lucky that no one in Ri's class does.  I wish I would have done Kisses because those would look more like ear buds.

New England Patriots Bling Hat

Sadly, our boys did not come through last night :(
I am falling in love with Bling hats, but they can be so expensive.  I was in Sam Moon and saw this red hat for $7.  Bought it.  Knew I was going to do something with the Patriots.  In trying to clean out my craft room, I came across this decal from a Scrap Convention that I went to.  I Liquid Stitched it to an old blue t-shirt and then Liquid Stitched that to the hat.  I heat set the iron on nail heads...done, that easy and the whole thing cost me under $15...love it!

New England Patriots Banner

Are you ready for some football??!!??
We are huge New England Patriots fans.  Dave was out of town this week, so I made a little banner for him.
I used the same things I did for the Magic Show Happy Birthday Banner.  So having all the banner pieces saved on my Design Studio takes no time at all.
I really wanted to buy Sure Cuts A Lot for this very reason.  With 4 boys in the house, I am always needing to cut out football team logos.  Unfortunately, I did not buy it before the lawsuit...no longer can get...sniff sniff!  To make this logo, I printed it from the Internet, then traced and cut and pieced.  I am very pleasantly pleased with the way this came out.  It was pop dotted on white.  Riley has requested this for his wall :)
Look what we received in the mail yesterday.  My SIL in MA sent this to the boys...they are too cute to eat.  I of course had to look at the company that made them.  It is called K-Delights.  So many cute cookies.  I never even knew something like this existed.

Holy Cow Belated Birthday Card

I missed my SIL birthday again...Dave comes from a family with 6 siblings, I have 3 so we have a lot of in-laws.  I received this digi stamp from a Friday Freebie from Bugaboo Stamps.  Love it.  I know my camera is taking really blurry pictures...it is not the user, it is the camera!  I used my Copics to color and I did Spica the halo.  I used my Nestabilities Label Two for the cut.  I purchased those just recently in the Clearance section at Hobby Lobby for $4.31.  I thought it was an error.  I bought 2 others :)  Inside the sentiment is computer generated and it said, "I missed your birthday!"

A little tip.  If you sign up to receive Bugaboo Stamps newsletter, she sends you a freebie every Friday.  They are not cheesy freebies, they are awesome.  Just look how cute this one was.

Valentines Luminaria

I have always wanted to make one of these luminaries, but never really knew how easy they really were to make.  Thanks to Beate at Split Coast Stampers, she made a tutorial that is super easy to follow.  She used Spellbinders Ovals to cut out the shapes, but I found that was too hard for me to get them lined up.  I used my Creative Memories ovals with the green blade.  Then I hole punched at the top to put the ribbon through.  I had lots of ideas to make this super pretty, but I was just not feeling it :)  I think it was that I used red.  I also bought 6 battery operated tea lights at Christmas Tree Shops for $2.  One of those left on all the time will last for a week.
