Longhorns Football Birthday Card

My baby boy is turning 10 this weekend...I can't believe it.

This card was made with my DS and welded the 10 with Mickey Font. The boy, football jersey, footballs and goal post were cut from Everyday Paper Dolls and the helmet with cut from Sports Mania. The longhorn symbol on the helmet and shoulder pads was free hand...had to cut that one too many times :) I did 10 footballs, because he is 10 :) As always I used Peachy Keen Stamp.

What do you think...looks just like him?

Birthday Trreat Topper

I made these Birthday treats for Riley's class today. I searched the net for ideas for treat bag toppers and I found so many great ones. I decided to do super simple because they are a bunch of 10 year olds. I used cardstock and the sentiment is done on my computer and cut out. I made 20 of them. I surprised Riley with these. He saw them before they were assembled. Riley helped me put the bags together...he never likes to help with my crafts. He said to me, "Mom, these are really cute!" I love that boy.

Iris Paper Folding

I can't just stick with the Cricut when I am making cards anymore, I had to find something else to try. We just got a puppy and our neighbors brought us a gift bag full of treats for her. This is the thank you card I created for them. I found this technique called Iris paper folding. I cannot remember the website that I found this template on, but I now have a new obsession.

Longhorns Spirit Bag

We have a mom on our team that comes up with great ideas for the Spirit Gifts for the boys. She asked for help on this one. I cut out all the Longhorn heads from fabric. Because we are not Texas Longhorns, I could not use the UT symbol on the fabric, so I had to get creative. I then used Liquid Stitch to attach to the bag. I had to make 18 of them...my hands got sticky :). The other mom then filled them with candy and attached Longhorn Silly Bands to the clip. The boys loved them.

Halloween Wreath

Last post for Halloween...I think :) I made this wreath last year for our door. I am not a scary halloween person, I am a cute and fun halloween person. I bought the wood cutouts from Joanns and painted them. Then attached to the wreath with a glue gun. I had fun doing this and the boys loved it.

Boo Box 2

Okay, so this was last years boo box. I used PDDU for the pumpkin, ghost and cat. Boo was done from Stone Script and the boxes were done on Plantin Schoolbook. This is my first attempt on something like this after I received my Cricut. Is this where it all started?

Boo Box

I know Halloween is right around the corner and I wanted to post a couple of projects that I have done. First, this is this years Boo Box. I cut the skeleton at 4/12" from PDDU and the scaredy cat was done at 3", also from PDDU. The box I used a template from www.scrapbooksetc.com. We love to boo people in our neighborhood. The BOO I made on DS with Pooh and Friends Font

40th Birthday Card

So my amazing husband just turned 40. I wanted to make him a masculine card and I love the way this turned out. I got the chipboard at the convention in Arlington and I cannot remember who it is by. He liked it because I finally made him a card instead of making cards for everyone else :) He is a great supporter of my addiction. I finally have my own craft room. I am finishing it up now. I will post before and after pictures later.
